We have immediate openings for skilled and reliable Deck Builders and Fence Builders as well as apprentice opportunities for those wanting to learn the trades.  You will work on a variety of high end deck and fence projects from Nags Head to Corolla. You must also be prepared to work in different types of weather conditions but we rarely work nights or weekends. We primarily work directly with homeowners and our reputation and work culture has been built over the last 20 years. Our ideal candidate has some construction experience but is willing to learn and grow as a craftsman. Most positions are 40 hr per week, year round employment and pay is based on experience and the amount of responsibility you take on. Subcontractor opportunities available for the right companies.

Duties and Responsibilities (varies by position)

• Arrive at shop by start time (7-8 depending on job location)
• Ensure jobsite is clean, orderly and efficient
• Respect homeowners property at all times
• Consult team leaders on construction plans
• Take direction well and be able to think ahead
• Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
• Record time sheets accurately
• Ensure construction equipment and tools are cleaned and stored properly
• Take the same pride we do in all of our work

Requirements and Qualifications

• High school degree or equivalent; vocational school or trade apprenticeships a plus
• Some experience in construction preferred
• Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work off ladders, scaffolding etc at heights a plus
• Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
• Excellent communication skills
